Hi fellow bookworms. I have been an avid readers all my life and have fond memories of my weekly trip to the local library where I was allowed 3 books a week. I changed all 3 each week and also devoured school library books and any others I could get hold of.

I have always been a big fan of Enid Blyton and particularly loved ones based in schools like Mallory Towers etc. My other favourite at that age were books which involved horses.

My biggest regret is giving away books that my dad owned (he was a teacher) as they were real old and mostly specialist subjects like bee keeping, sports, history. My dad gave me a love of books, nature, flowers and life in general. Great guy.

In my loft I have a collection of the original Anne of Green Gables in their orange covers !!! Not sure what I will do with them eventually but I thank my godmother Miss Hersee for those.

Although I don't go to markets or car boot sales often, I did go to one a few weeks ago when staying with my daughter in Swindon.I managed to get through all the stalls only buying a couple of books - one being a Lonely Planet (Eastern Europe) which can never be ignored. But the urge to buy them all was huge. I would start a bookshop but know that I wouldn't want to sell any of the stock.

I can't wait to go and release a book or even better, find one !!! I have always passed on my books with the exception of thinks like Go Ask Alice (Anon) and Watershed (Erin Pizzey) but this will be a much better way of doing it.

I will probably edit this info but for now...enjoy ! Helen
