Extended Profile
Really love to read, but there's just not enough hours in the day. 25+ years ago I had a great reading job. I used to work a rotating stockroom shift. During the weeks of 2nd, and especially 3rd shifts, there wasn't much to do after you put your assigned
parts away, so the rest of the 8 hours were pretty much free time. Used to read a novel a night (usually) and sometimes a digest magazine for dessert. Maybe I'll get a job like that when I retire, so I can catch up on all my TBR piles!!
I also enjoy listening to music, which I have the knack of listening to through headphones while reading. (People I know say they can't do it - seems like a natural thing to me.)
-- Always read something that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
P. J. O'Rourke
"When fortune wanes, of what assistance are quantities of elephants?" (Juvaini, Afghan Muslim chronicler, c. 1206)
