I live part of the time in Stuart, FL and part in Asheville, NC. I am addicted to books second only to the computer. My addiction started with comics when I was a kid and spread to books but has been tempered a lot by the PC. I always have at least one book that I am reading and I also have at least one book I am listening to on my Ipod and/or a CD in my car.

I love sci-fi, some fantasy, and thrillers primarily. I do my "serious" reading on the internet or by listening to recorded books (find "serious books easier to listen to then to hear generally). Lately I have gotten into young adult fantasy literature to a degree because I find they have the imagination that more adult literature lacks. Adults books in this genre are largely the Lord of the Rings rewritten over and over again with different characters, heroes, and villians. Young adult books are breaking new creative territory with books such as Harry Potter, the Dark Materials trilogy, and many more.

I have been donating most of my books to the library in the past but I am looking forward to trying this club. Unfortunately I can't donate the books I download to my IPOD but hopefully I can also do the same with the recorded books I get on CD's.
