Out of curiosity I bought a small parcel of faceted gemstones 4 years ago. The minute I saw them in person a love of this marvel of nature began. I don't have the money for any kind of formal gemological education so I scoured the internet for any information I could find to learn as much as I could about these beauties. There is plenty of information to be found but the one thing you can't get over the internet is accurate color. For that you need books and that is what brought me here.

I am a grandmother to 4 (so far!) grandchildren ranging in age from 18mos-6 yrs (and 1 on the way:) These 4 little angels (most of the time) are my heart and soul even when they're being bad.
