I'm a web developer who builds websites using Ruby-on-Rails.

I love reading SF/Fantasy, alternative fiction and pop-science - anything that gets me thinking as well as being a great story.

I love the idea of this BookCrossing thing (fun and generous, good combination) and have been having fun releasing books and swapping with people at meetups.

As with others here, there are a number of books I own that I do not wish to part with - or at least I always want to have one copy on hand. Yet these books have touched me deeply and I'd like to share them with you all. My favourite ever books are the ones that receive 10 stars - I'll only ever give this amount to the most important books I've ever read. The current copies of these books I'm keeping (mineminemine), but if I ever come across another copy, I'll for sure get one and send it out into the world so that other people can share too - I've already done this once or twice already.

By the way, due to postage costs, I am willing to send books within Australia, but have made the decision that I will not swap books with anyone outside the country unless there is a *really* good reason - a good reason would be if you have a book to send me that I have been really looking for... :)
