Where do you start without sounding like a writer's biography or a self-inflated egotistical description? Nowhere. Or at least, that's where I am now.

Somewhere. That's how far I've come; and since you are still reading, here I go: If I'm not working, I am reading. If I'm reading, I'm working. You see, for a living I volunteer my time to our nonprofit corporation, Fanatic, Inc. This corporation is the owner of TrueCrimeFanatic.com and the True Crime Readers, Writers, and Photographer's conference. Although I love the fact that I have to read in order to properly maintain the business, the truth is, I do it to help victims of unsolved violent crimes, locate missing people, and to raise awareness of domestic violence.

It used to be a bit more simple--I was just another writer (for things like Woman's Day, Money, Live, Highlights for Children, and other places). But things like a violent ex-husband get in the way and you find there is so much more in life than doing what you love. It's doing what you are supposed to do.

My family helps run the business, along with several other volunteers. There are seven beautiful kids, a fabulous husband, and a lovable dog. Three of our girls are homeschooled and one of them will be driving down your sidewalk any day now. So watch it; you've been warned!

Oh, got off topic now... all our kids are readers like me. I'm sure we'll be able to satisfy someone's tummy with book knowledge. Of course, you have to enjoy reading true crime or Stepen King if you want to enjoy our book suggestions!
