Hello Fellow Reader –
If you are reading this message, you’re probably hoping to learn a little about me. The part of bookcrossing that I like best is leaving anonymous gifts for people to find. I don’t want to tell you too much because I live in a small community where it’s hard to keep secrets. You could try looking at my bookshelf to learn something about me, though I should warn you that the books I bookcross aren't always ones I've read or purchased myself. If you think you know who I am, please don’t tell anyone!
If you’re an old hand at bookcrossing, and you’re looking here to see if I’m interested in trades, the answer is “sure.” As you can see by perusing my bookshelf, though, I don’t usually register books until I’m ready to release them. So if you are looking for a trade, see what sorts of things I’ve bookcrossed already. Odds are I have more books along similar lines that I could trade -- let me know what interests you, and I'll see what I have.
Are you thinking of selling a book I gave you or cherishing it forever? You should know that doing either of those things offends some bookcrossers. I don't feel strongly about it -- I gave you the book, and now it's up to you what to do with it. On the other hand, sometimes I buy a book just to bookcross it, and I hate to think of you selling it unread. If you want to sell it (bookcrossing tags intact) after you've read it, that's ok with me. The same goes for keeping a bookcrossing book after you've finished it -- it's your book now, so you can do what you want. Think about it, though. Wouldn't you like to join in the fun of passing it along?
Remember, here at bookcrossing, we’re “reinventing moveable type.” Have a great time with it!
