Extended Profile
I’ve loved to read throughout my life although it slipped down the priority list when babies came along. As the kids get older I’m carving out more time for reading again.
I enjoy most genres but tend not to read much romance, fantasy or science fiction. The fiction I read I tend to always classify with the literature label (although I find categorising books problematic). I’m trying to increase my non-fiction consumption and enjoy science writing, psychology, philosophy, some history and memoirs of people I admire or find interesting.
The books in my Wishlist are those that I can’t access through my local libraries. My full to-read list can be found on Goodreads:

I enjoy the ABC Radio National book shows when I catch them and often add books from here and the associated Facebook groups.
My favourite authors include Ali Smith and Georgia Blain.
I intend to read all books I receive through BookCrossing although it may take a while as my book collection grows. I giggle to think that I once thought BC would be a way of reducing the number of books I had, that has certainly not been the case! I love to hear about the journey the books that have passed through my hands go on and appreciate thoughtful journal entries.
I’ve found this to be an amazingly friendly and generous community and am grateful to be a part of it.
