Extended Profile
I am a voracious bookworm, read anything but nonfiction and even a little of that, mostly philosophy, or geneology stuff. I especially enjoy Sci-Fi, fishing (literary and wet), most any kind of mystery, but seem to read a lot of Grisham, some of my wife's
romance mysterys are very well done and am reading a lot more of them. I like Tom Clancy, Stephen King - I have most, if not all his books. I find that sometimes, re-reading a good book improves the flavor, especially if you wait a few years between readings.
Maybe that's because I grew up (matured?) a little between readings. I also enjoy some fantasy, but prefer sci-fi.
I recently released a whole lot of books to the library for their book sales. I plan on gettintg rid of about three more bookcases full of mostly textual stuff that I no longer need since I have retired.
I would be glad to correspond with anyone on most any topic, literary, piscatorial, or philosophical. And by philosophy, I don't mean the extremely complicated stuff, I mean the basics, like how to get along with your fellow man (or wife), how to survive getting older, what do you do about a cantankerous family member, and so forth.
I find myself a little frustrated at the quality of some of the books I pick up. If I get six books from the library, almost always am disappointed with at least a couple of them. Well, looking forward to hearing from my fellow bookish characters. CGWMS
