Extended Profile
I have been a reader all my life. I think it's in my genes. I read fiction mainly (but did love "Into Thin Air"). I love good mysteries, science fiction and mainstream fiction. Currently, my favorite authors are Stephen Boothe (mystery), Barry Maitland
(mystery), Neil Stephensen (science fiction, although his latest work, a trilogy is set in the late 1600's-early 1700's, but the characters speak modern English and display modern sensibilities), William Gibson (science fiction - loved, loved his "Pattern
Recognition"), Amy Tan (haven't read her latest yet) and find John Irving, compelling but kookie.
Oh yes, biographical details: female, married, no children, two cats, accountant, love to hike.
Favorite quote:
I had always imagined paradise as a kind of library.
- Jorge Luis Borges
