Life as a hobo from a dog's perspective. Interesting read.

I've never been interested in reading books that read from the perspective of a dog, and there's been several of them out there. And if it weren't for several friends that told me that this book was really good, I would have never picked it up. But I have to say that I really got into this story from the very beginning, starting with wonderful writing. Never read Paul Auster before, but he made the book not be about the dog, but about a perspective. The perspective could have been from the author itself, but the creativity behind using a dog, is that you can't help but feel for the furry animal, especially in the second half of the book.

Even though the dog belonged to a homeless man, I loved the author's direction of describing the story of the homeless man, which was what got me addicted to the book in the first place.

I have to say that for dog's perspective stories, this one raises the bar very high. I still don't know if I want to venture into another perspective from a dog, unless it comes highly recommended.
