I rather enjoyed this! It took a bit of effort but was well worth it.

Very pleased to find another 1001 book!

I enjoyed this, it isn't an easy read & takes effort to keep up with the family history switching between generations. It evokes the history and atmosphere of the Fens very well.

Excellent book this, one of my all time favourite narratives about the Fenland landscapes. I found it at Little Eaton book exchange and I'm heading up to Milford now so I'll take it there...
