I've never been a big fan of Sylvia Brown's, so I may have been a bit prejudiced before I sat down to read this book. Her descriptions of the "Other Side" just seem too pat and pedestrian to me. I felt no sense of wonder or mystery reading this book - she's almost made the afterlife boring! The other thing that disturbs me about Sylvia is that she writes as if her interpretation is the only truth. She went as far as to include drawings of the "structures" she saw on the Other Side in the hard cover version of the book.

I did find the discussion of the various Life Themes interesting as an explanation of why we've chosen the lives we've chosen.
