I enjoyed this Whitbread Book of the Year - well worth its award. Agood tale with pathos and humour and a little zany at times.
Release planned for Thursday, August 28, 2003 at East Cheshire Hospice's charity shop, Chestergate in Macclesfield, England United Kingdom.

I hunted this book down at the East Cheshire Hospice Charity Shop in Macclesfield after I read about it's release. It's a book I have picked up and put down in bookshops for ages, so I'm very glad to have found it. And it only cost me 25p....

I'm reading it at the moment - it's great! The narrator has a wonderful tone of voice and it's really quirky.
Released on Monday, January 05, 2004 at Total Fitness, Ladies Changing Room. in Handforth, England United Kingdom.
I shall be leaving the book at about 6.15 on Monday evening! If you find the book, please don't forget to let it continue it's Bookcrossing journey, and pass it on ;-)

I was given this book by my daughter in Cheshire, UK and brought it back to Malaga, Spain in March, 2004. Will now be passing it on to my friend over here and ask her to send it travelling.
Hard to imagine it was a first book and definitely deserved to win the Whitbread Book of the Year Award. A fantastic observation of three generations, with such detail. It will trigger memories for many of us.
