Pre-numbered label used for registration. Loved this book! It's not a "typical" Kingsolver, but it is a great read, nonetheless. This book has real heart as it centers on a woman who knew that she did not want to end up barefoot and pregnant. Escaping the narrow choices of her life, she is thrust into motherhood outside a bar. Full of heart, this book follows her life and the cast of characters that make it possible to survive and, yes, thrive. You, gentle reader, will find yourself rooting for this young lady and her daughter "Turtle" as they slide down the razor blade of life. Like the first time you saw "Karate Kid", you will yourself cheering, sobbing, and otherwise emotionally involved. ...and if you want to know what happened next, you will go out and buy "Pigs in Heaven"!!!!! Dare you not to!!!!
