Jacky was bringing this to last night's meetup for KatRVT, but Kat couldn't make it - so - I begged for a chance to read it. Have just discovered Carol Shields and want to read all of her books.

This is early Carol Shields (1977). The story didn't captivate me as much as her wonderful writing did. I have just discovered Carol Shields and hope to, eventually, read everything she has written, she is so good at capturing the delicate details of life, no tricks, just good storytelling.

Sorry it has taken me so long to log I recieved this book. It was my first book sent by mail, I was very excited to get it.
A nice read but not one of her best. I was very glad to recieve it in the mail (my first sent via snail mail). Thank you!
