Removed this book from Nattabee's Third Time is a Charm bookbox. I've read several of this author's books. So want to read this one too. The write up on the back cover sounded interesting.

As you can see love2cook was too slow at getting this off the TBR mountain, so I did. J.P. Beaumont is investigating a half-century old murder. Sister Mary Katherine witnessed the crime when she was only 5. Can they live through this case? Beaumont may be to close for comfort.

I finally got around to read this J. P. Beaumont story. Beau has been finagled into the 50 year old cold case death of "Mimi" Madeline Marchbank, a former neighbor of Sister Mary Katherine. When Sister Mary Katherine was a child she witnessed the murder of "Mimi".
A very involved story, or coruption, jealousy, greed, and murder. A lot of people included in the killing and coverup. I found it to be an interesting story and a very good read.

Thank you for book #17 in the Beaumont series. I am not sure how long it will take me to get to this one as I want to read the books in order.
The story was fairly captivating. There were some twists that were unexpected.
