A Monstrous Regiment of Women
4 journalers for this copy...
I read this one a while back. It's about Sherlock Holmes' apprentice, Mary Russell. There's a whole series of these books, but I've read them out of order and they still make sense.
Release planned for Saturday, August 02, 2003 at pchemphd's bookbox in postal release, postal release USA.

Snagged this from pchemphd's bookbox....looks interesting!
This was a good read. King stayed pretty *true* to Doyle's style, and I really felt as though I was reading a true Sherlock Holmes mystery. Although this is the second in a trilogy of books, I have not read "The Beekeeper's Apprentice", and still had no trouble following the storyline. King does mention a case from the previous book, but only within context of this story. In other words, these read well as stand-alones.
Now that its read, I will be sending this off to Chinasourcer in the UK, who has requested it off of CasualReader's relay site. Hope its enjoyed by her, as well! *mailed 7/17

Many thanks. :) Much desired and can now be taken off the wishlist.
I'm hoping that nobody minds me making this a 'PC' book (if anyone does please PM me and I'll buy another copy so this one can keep travelling).
