Another one that my late wife enjoyed - help!

Picked this up at the meetup we had last night. This is one of the books on the "1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die" list that I'm challenging myself to read.
I found this book tended to drag on in places, the layout of the book didn't help; no chapters but was split into 4 sections. I knew to a certain extent where the story was going having seen the film version previously. As always there was a few extras in the book that the film version didn't use. Glad it's over though, not really my kind of vampire story. I'm more of a Charlaine Harris and Stephenie Meyer type vampire story person. However, think I'll add the other two books in this series, as the ending left a cliffhanger and I want to know what will happen to the boy who was recording the interview.
