We had a charity book sale at work last week - something I just couldn't resist although I really shouldn't be buying any more books! I choose this as I really enjoyed reading her previous novels.

I like Ahern's books - they always take a reasonably 'normal' romance, couple it with something extraordinary, scatter in some humour and you have a fantastic read. This one was no exception.

Joyce and Justin are complete strangers, yet they keep bumping into each other and Joyce seems to be remembering things that Justin did. Set against their chaotic and complicated lives, they somehow manage to find out what links them.

There was nothing hugely original in this story and, to be honest, not a lot happened. But it didn't happen in style. Probably my favourite character was Joyce's Dad - he provided more than one snort out loud moment and was the focus of a lot of the humour in the book. Despite such a strange situation, it was easy to suspend belief and just go with it, as the characters bumped along from one mini-disaster to another, until the inevitable happy ending.

A great read - worth picking up.
