When I first started this book I had my doubts that I was going to make it through it, much less enjoy it. Imagine my surprise when I became totally engrossed in it! I really loved it and have just started the second in the series "The Valley of Horses". If you've not read it, or have put it down thinking it wasn't your type of book, keep with it....it is a very enjoyable book.
