Incredible really, that they were able to take one short story comprising just 19 pages in this slim paperback collection of 13 in total, and turn it into a major motion picture starring James Caan!
Worth a read if you liked the film "Rollerball", or ever played "Speedball" on a Commodore Amiga computer back in the 1980's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speedball_(video_game) if you're interested). I don't think I ever read the other 12 stories...
