Daniel is neurotic. He lives a very simple life that revolves around his OCD tendencies. Twice a week he is visited by Clarissa, a student/social worker. Daniel has his daily and weekly schedules worked into a routine and has to justify any changes that aren't part of his regular schedule. Clarissa tries to maintain a professional relationship with Daniel until one day her personal like comes crashing into Daniel's. It is through spending time with Clarissa and her son Teddy that Daniel starts to put aside some of his tendencies and starts living a slightly more normal life.

I can't imagine what it would be like to live like Daniel. He is neurotic with OCD tendencies and also a little idiot savante. I found myself rooting for Daniel, hoping he could get past his neurosis and lead a more "normal" life.
