from the back:

Escaping unwanted media attention after a notorious incident, Ramsey Hunt retreats into the solitude of a cabin high in the Colorado Rockies. But his isolation is shattered when he rescues a small girl unconscious in the forest and strangers invade his private meadow, their intent to kill.

I don't really remember much of this book - but if you've read The Maze, it does also feature Savich and Sherlock.

My goodness.... I have finally remembered to register this book online! I have had this book since its initial release into the wild, and I'm on the 7th or 8th reading of this book. I'm sorry I'm holding up the book for everyone else, but this is one heck of a good book! My mother picked this book up from a mall of some sort that the releasee has already mentioned, and after a long haggle with the other ladies she was visiting with, finally realized that it wasn't anyone's book, saw the label on the cover, and figured I, the reader of the family, would know what this "Book Crossing" thing is all about. (As I had read about it in the Readers Digest a week (give or take) previous to coming into contact with said book, I did. Thank you Readers Digest and Book Crossing!) So, she brought it home after the play my sister was in was over. As soon as I get done reading this book for the last time or until I get a copy of my own or find out if my library (which is where I am posting this, as my home computer's internet is dead and has been for as long or longer than I've had this book) has a copy, I'll take a trip to Evansville or pass it to one of the many, many readers I know in this tiny pothole of a southern Illinois town. I hope I find many more good books, and I might possibly be releasing a few books of my own "into the wild" (mom and dad have declared ONE, a puny ONE large bookshelf really ought to be enough room for my books and if I can't keep them all in there I need to get rid of some books, the horror!). Here's to the hope of another good book! ~Jae Michels, 20 years of existance
