The book, inside a clear zip-lock bag, is sticking out of a hollow tree stump on the main trail between the Trout Brook waterfall and the place where the trail first meets Black River Gorge

I just found this book in a tree stump in Hacklebarney State Park while hiking with my family! Looking forward to reading it and passing it on.
Hi Rainbowphish! Thanks for logging that you "caught" the book. I've set quite a few free and no one was logging any catches so I was about to give up when I got your journal entry on this one. I hope you enjoy the book! I think it's a good one.

I decided to release this book on my vacation to visit my brother. Its a beautiful spot, on a beautiful day, and I left this great book on a bench on the pier. Looking forward to someone catching and posting a message!

Sunday 21 September was indeed a beautiful day. 'Caught' the book at about 4pm after cocktails at Gar Wood restaurant - I am one of a party of five friends and family from Scotland and Australia who were on a fortnights visit to California. The book is now with me here in Melbourne, Australia, and I am reading it on my way to and from work (back to reality).

Wow! How wonderful that this book is getting passed along and has traveled so far from home! Thanks, both of you, for journaling on it. Hope you enjoy it, Potteroo.
Maybe this is cheating but my partner found the book and hadn't released it, so I decided to read it and then free it myself. It's a lovely story - not too taxing - a perfect holiday read.
