The back of the book says "...a hymn to wildness that celebrates the prodigal spirit of human nature and of nature itself."

Set in Appalachia, this book is full of intriguing characters that make it a fun and interesting read.

Hi Rainbowphish! Thanks for logging that you "caught" the book. I've set quite a few free and no one was logging any catches so I was about to give up when I got your journal entry on this one. I hope you enjoy the book! I think it's a good one.

Sunday 21 September was indeed a beautiful day. 'Caught' the book at about 4pm after cocktails at Gar Wood restaurant - I am one of a party of five friends and family from Scotland and Australia who were on a fortnights visit to California. The book is now with me here in Melbourne, Australia, and I am reading it on my way to and from work (back to reality).

Maybe this is cheating but my partner found the book and hadn't released it, so I decided to read it and then free it myself. It's a lovely story - not too taxing - a perfect holiday read.
