I enjoyed this book. It's a moving love story about two neighbors (Travis and Gabby) who fall in love but many years later one of them has to face a difficult decision.

The second book received in my lovely RABCK package from Marilina, thank you so much. It might take me a while to get around to these books because I haven't been reading recently and I have already read a few Nicholas Sparks this year but I am still looking forward to them. I almost bought this one recently so thanks again.

Started reading this book on Saturday, as someone has requested it in a VBB (sorry for the delay!). I found it quite easy to read and thought it was a fairly good book. Wouldn't read it again and it wasn't my favourite Nicholas Sparks' book, but if you like girly books, then I would give it a go. Reserved for the VBB participant and will be sent out when I can get to the post office :o)

Received today, part of a virtual book box - thank you very much wal-89!

A strange little book - after three pages I was completely and utterly bored. I don't know that i've ever read anything so dull and cliched. But I thought I ought to stick with it as Nicholas Sparks is so famous and has had all those books made into films, surely it would get better!! It never moved away from terrible cliche and dull unnecessary detail, but I did get into Gabby and Travis's first weekend together and wanted to know how that would pan out. When we jump forward 11 years the situation was not what I expected but the eventual outcome was predictable. And I couldn't feel proper emotion for what should be a heartbreaking situation because the characters were completely 2-dimensional.

Still, I'm glad of any new read and especially any new author to me, so thank you. :) I will put this back in the virtual bookbox if it goes another round and I'm sure it will find more sympathetic future readers than me. :)

To clear shelves, releasing to a great charity shop with a lovely book section in the back. Fast turnover rate in there so hopefully it will soon get a new home.
