Zod Wallop was altogether a decent little novel. It certainly had potential. However, it almost feels to me that the author developed a good premise and decided to create a quick little tale. The characters were interesting and could have used more development as could the whole plot altogether. That said, I did enjoy reading the novel; but felt that the ending was rather cliche and that Zod Wallop was much shorter than it should have been in order to live up to expectations.
In all honesty, on reflection one reason I purchased the book was most likely that I like the cover font and some of the layered text in the cover image. Being something of a design junkie, from time to time I purchase a book primarily for its aesthetics; and --no surprise-- it generally turns out to be something of a let down.
