This was an all-right read. A little dry in spots, but it makes for an interesting story.

Oh, another Sherlock Holmes~ and reading the back, looks like I should read this one first~~
I wasn't sure I'd care for this, but I really liked it! It didn't feel dry to me. While a far cry from the effusive little culinary cozy, I found the style perfectly suited to the characters and time. I look forward to more of this series :-)
if like me, you take a look and feel this may be an archaic and difficult read..... don't be put off~it wasn't. And was a lot of fun!

This arrived today: one of my choices for the Mystery VBB. Thanks for sending it, Erishkigal.
I really enjoyed this book. I found it to be well written with engaging characters and an exciting storyline. Parts of it felt a bit too modern for the setting and some incidents were implausible, but the whole was delightful. Nice to start off the new year with a really good book!
