My partner in crime snatched this from the box before I even got a chance to look at it. Since it has an Oprah's Book Club seal and I'm told its now a movie I'll put this on Mt. TBR when he's done. Removing from Oliviapoolsides In Memory of Kalman Bookbox.

Couldn't put this down. At first I found McCarthy's prose odd for a novel but soon I found beauty in it. His imagery is amazing, it really conveys the sadness, desperation and anxiety of the situation.

"By day the banished sun circles the earth like a grieving mother with a lamp."

Hanging on to this to see if my other half would like to read it since he's the one that initially grabbed it from the book box. Thanks for sharing.
