Going to read this after I'm done my current book. Then I will give it back to Jamie.
This book is just fantastic! It was not at all predictable, and kept shocking you at every turn. Nothing was at it seemed. Once you thought something or someone was a definite, the story made you feel like a fool for thinking so. I will definetly be seeking out more of Dan Brown's work.
Received back from thescreaming @ lunch meetup. This is my next one TBR.
Update November 19, 2003:
Excellent, top-notch thriller. This one kept you flipping pages so quickly you were likely to get friction burns. I loved the premise of this book, that the very foundations of all faiths were challenged. It reminded me somewhat of the book, The Eight by Katherine Neville with the exception that chess was used as the plot device in that rather than anagrams and codes.
But still all and all it was fun and fascinating reading and again many, many thanks to busybusybee for trading this to me.

Thanks, Jamie! I look forward to reading this book.
I just found it in this lady's house and she said it was free! what a weirdo!
Don't mind drdrew7d; he took the book away from me for awhile, but I got it back just in time to take it with me on vacation to Florida.
Having read Angels and Demons, I knew I would enjoy The Da Vinci Code. I think what fascinated me most was that several of the ideas postulated in this book are things that I have ruminated on for several years, such as the elimination of the sacred feminine from major world religions and Emperor Constantine's 4th century convention to choose which books would be included in the Bible. Da Vinci's Last Supper has captivated and mystified me since grade school for some the reasons Brown points out in the book, and I enjoyed reevaluating the scene at the table during my reading.
I hope to fulfill a Bookcrosser's wish by mailing this book soon.
