I picked this up on the Free Book shelf at Ed McKay's in Raleigh, figuring it's always good to get a bit of input on getting along with people. I probably wouldn't have if I'd been paying more attention, as I hadn't realized it is a Christian self-help book on getting along with people.
Overall, I found the author's conclusions facile and somewhat glib in the way of many self-help books written in the 80s, but there were bits I did agree with and I think (some) of the advice would be helpful in getting along with people. I'm not sure I agree 100% with the author's division of people by personality traits (I'd love to see how the divisions compare with the Myers-Briggs personality test - I suspect they're quite similar.) but again, if you haven't done much self-assessment the information could prove useful.
Not a bad read, and not overly 'preachy' as I've found some Christian books to be - I almost put the book down when I realized it had been written from that perspective, but I didn't think it was too overdone, and it turned out not to be a huge issue for me.
Not, however, one I'm likely to be reading again - so off it goes!

I plan to bring this book with me on a road trip from North Carolina to Vermont and back. I intend to release it either somewhere en route, or at The Book Thing in Baltimore, MD, depending on how things go. If it has not been journaled by the time I return home, I will make a release note with updated information.
(If it won't fit on the car, I'll return it to available status when I return!)

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Dear Finder,
Hey, thanks for taking a look! BookCrossing is sending a book out into the world like a message in a bottle. It's always nice when a book checks in and tells you where it's gone. If you could leave me a message (anonymous is fine) to let me know that it's found you, that would be great. If you'd like to join the BookCrossing site (it's safe, spam-free, and anonymous), then you too can watch it on its travels. Whatever you do - read it, keep it, pass it on - I hope you enjoy the book.
Cheers!
Donated to The Book Thing of Baltimore, MD. Happy travels, little book!
