1968 Collateral Classic paperback of the 1866 Russian novel. This is the story of Rodion Romanich Raskolnikov, an impoverished student in St. Petersburg, who plots and executes a murder for financial gain, and then finds himself embroiled in the consequences. This copy came from Skyline High School, and was first assigned to a student in 1972, according to the listing in the back cover. It was on my list of the 100 most important novels to read, when I found it some months ago in the free books pile on the porch of Dimond Library.
I can let this go after I read:
1864 Notes from Underground (novella) [read 2008]
