Thought-and spirit-provoking story of a likeable, conscientious Carmelite nun - savoring radiant visions and religious ecstasy. But could they be connected to her strong headaches and a medical condition?

An amazingly authentic look inside a cloistered convent; the honest, faith-filled struggle esp. of one nun to balance the joy of spiritual visions and feelings of closeness to God with her calling to health, obedience, service to others.

The story was surprisingly compelling. And I'm wondering if it has universal appeal - or more so for someone coming from this tradition...

picked this back up - at our local meetup this evening.
I know the just-right next reader will emerge...
