this was recommended to me...

"Second hand books are wild books, homeless books; they have come together in vast flocks of variegated feather, and have a charm which the domesticated volumes of the library lack." --Virginia Woolf

yet another book that sat on the shelf much too long waiting for me to read it only to be somewhat disatisfied with it once I did read it. It is not a bad book by any means, just not as good as i had hoped.
The premise is that of a young girl whose father has died and she is trying to engage her mom back into life and love crossing paths with a man whose great love story he wrote in his youth that comes back to haunt him in his last years.

"A book is a mysterious object, I said, and once it floats out into the world, anything can happen. All kinds of mischief can be caused, and there's not a damned thing you can do about it. For better or worse, it's completely out of your control."
Paul Auster
