Considering where and when this book was released, I found it about four weeks ago in the charity box of Tesco in Whiteley!
I read it now and enjoyed it a lot, especially as I did not know anything about this leprosy colony on the island of Spinalonga off Crete. I thought leprosy was a medieval illness, but only in the 1950s, when they found a cure, the people where allowed to leave the island.
The story set in the past is really gripping, but the one set in the present I could have done without.
