My book club is going to be reading this book in 2010 and loves2readalot offered it to me. Thank you!
Denver Moore, a homeless drifter who grew up picking cotton on a Louisiana plantation, and Ron Hall, a self-made millionaire from Texas, become friends and teach each other life-changing lessons.
Very moving, but the religious overtones were a little too preachy for my taste and detracted from the story. At times the book also seemed like a memorial to Debbie Hall, the woman who brought these two men together through her work at a rescue mission.
