passed from a friend who I met up with in Barrowford. Took a little while to get into but soon was really enjoying the story and the characters, more interesting as its based on real events. Enjoyed Melvyn Bragg's style of writing, thought he potrayed the characters well showing lots of dimensions of their personalities that lead me to feel sympathy at times and not so much at others!I plan to leave this book in Clitheroe, Lancashire
Took me awhile to get into the book but once I did really enjoyed it. I was determined to hate the lead character but started to feel sympathy for him!
