Bought in Singapore, to be read on holiday.
Saw the movie (which I didn't enjoy very much) before I read the book, so I had the characters set in terms of Kate Winslett and Leo di Caprio. They did a good job, but it's ultimately a depressing read.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
This was very well written, but so depressing. I have never heard of the film, but will seek it out.
It was like watching a slow train wreck, and a bleak reminder of stiflingly bad marriages I have knowm.
I don't comprehend how irrelevant the children seem to the adults.
