In a frozen time before history, in a harsh and beautiful land near the top of the world, womanhood comes cruelly and suddenly to beautiful young Chagak. - Found on the subway at beterrn Lawrence asnd York Mills

Good story! The detail and character depth was very well done. The story was action packed and full of emotion. This story is a unique way of portraying the life style and beliefs of the prehistoric people of this region of Alaska. This was a very satisfying book

Found the book on the Toronto Subway, heading north on the Spadina line.
I wasn't sufficiently entranced by it to hang onto it and read it, so I practiced "catch and release". It was probably on or anound June 28, 2010. Good luck, little tome!

I think this is a great idea - random acts of literature.
