Evanovich is always breezy, implausible, and quite hilarious with her tangled plots, crazy characters, and wild situations. In this one, mix together two race cars and a dead guy on stolen NASCAR hauler, a 150-pound, lovable St. Bernard named Beans, and a woman for a taste for speed and a talent for breaking rules, and you have a highly entertaining read in the fast lane.
