Another one I spotted in a charity shop. I have heard about the film, and obviously the cover of the book gives it away, with a picture of Johnny Depp on it, but thought I'd attempt to read the book and see what it was like.
Wasn't quite sure what to expect with this book but once I started reading I really enjoyed it. Didn't rush it, like I do with some books and I cannot wait to see the film now, to see how similar it is, etc. I hope it's good. Would definitely recommend the book to a friend though.
November 09 - Film wasn't as good as the book, and why did they change Anouk's invisible animal to a kangeroo from a rabbit, didn't really change the story or anything. Definitely preferred the book.

I really enjoyed this book (with the exception of the film cover which I never like!). I could vaguely remember the film but not how the story progressed in detail. I enjoyed Joanne Harris' writing style and felt like all the characters were well written. A great read!
