A strange book.
Sometimes Severgnini is describing Italian's behaviours in a way that makes every Italian recognize himself in it; but other times I think he over-analyses the Italians, arriving to "general theories" about the Italian mind that are not exactly... right.
He generalises too much. What is the chapter describing the tinello all about? I don't have one. My great grandmother had one, yes, but you cannot pretend to create a whole Italian philosophy of mind from it.

Right now I've lent this book to my house-mate, then I'll set it free. ^_^

Damn! It's still in my hands: passing today where I released it I found out it was still there, all alone and abandoned.
I've taken it, and I'll try another spot, maybe with more luck.

Tomorrow I'm going to Oxford, I'll bring it with me and see if I can find an occasion to release it (again!)
