Got into work this morning at 11pm. I work in John Lewis in Bluewater and wandered down to the section i work on where i stumbled across a book sitting on a display table. Picking it up i instantly guessed what it was by the FREE BOOK see inside for info heart sticker on the front. For years i had known about books that travelled the world and had always wondered from time to time whether i would come across one. And today i did! I had to check it through with 2 of my managers that i was allowed to temporarily claim the book (since we're not allowed to pick up anything that could be considered lost or someone elses property and even a gift) and neither manager knew about bookcrossing. Excited i spent the rest of the day asking every single one of my collegues if they had ever heard of this process and not a single one knew what it was. Needless to say they do now! I plan to get through it steadily as i don't have the most free time in the world and then once it has been read i will have to set it free again.
