Drew MacLane was a child who witnessed his parents' brutal deaths, and a man determined to fight the world for its atrocities in the deadliest guise possible: the guise of a professional assassin.
Then his anger soothed and he became sickened by the prospect of further gratuitous killings. So, owing the world an apology, he retreated into the monastic world to atone for his sins.
Years later his sanctuary is breached and only he survives a deadly attack on the monastery. The old habits return as, clicked into place by the murders around him, MacLane finds himself the target of these mysterious murder attempts. An attempt which rekindles the vows of vengeance he had cast away all those years ago ...

Given to me by a friend who was having a clean-out - lucky me!
