The Queen of the Damned

Akasha was once the queen of the Nile (she has a bit in common with the Egyptian goddess Isis), and it's unwise to rile her now that she's had 60 centuries of practice being undead. She is so peeved about male violence that she might just have to kill most of them. And she has her eye on handsome Lestat with other ideas as well.

Finally read the book!
Third book in the Vampire Chronicles series, it revolves more around the myths surrounding the vampires and how some came to be a night bloodsucking creature. Of course, the story was mesmerizing and yet, a bit long certain times. Still, all of it had a purpose as everything unfolds in the end. Of course, not having read the first two books of the series makes it strange to get into the story but it was still a good read. I will read later, in time, the other books of the series.

I gave this to my friend to read. She lives in a convalescent home and needs lots of books to read :)
She kind of liked it, even though, like me, she usually doesn't read books about vampires.
We both don't feel like reading any other books in the series, though. (I earread Book IV a while ago.)
I probably will release this book to one of the nearby LFLs.
