1 journaler for this copy...
2nd copy for release.
This book has been on my real tbr shelf for a few years, so I thought with the impending movie, now was the time to finally read it.
I found it to be a quick read, though there seemed to be the occasional awkward sentence. The moral dilemas are interesting. I don't think I have read anything from the point of view of someone from the the generation whose parents were responsible for (or for ignoring) the atrocities of the holocaust. Until now, I was also not aware that immediately after the war, accounts of the camps were published, but then were not reissued until the 1980s, and how much movies like Sophie's Choice and Schindler's List are responsible for the resurgence of interest and our current "collective imagination" of the camps. So I learned something too.
