Finally got around to reading this book, and I have to say I was quite disappointed! I generally like characters with a little depth to them, or if not, then at least a character that undergoes some sort of change (internally or externally) by the end of the book. This book has nothing like that - it's one-note throughout the whole thing. I know it's based on superficiality, but there is no variation or point to the story at all. I really didn't enjoy it so much and by the end of the book, I was quite annoyed. It wasn't particularly well written, and the book offered no conclusions to what happens to Mimi. The reconcilation of Patty and her husband is an anti-climax... I could go on but I won't. Ultimately disappointing, and I've lost a few hours I'll never gain back! I suppose I should have realised that I wouldn't enjoy it, since I am not a fan of the Sex and the City episodes. Oh well.
