"Meet Theodosia Browning, owner of Charleston's beloved Indigo Tea Shop. Patrons love her blend of delicious tea tastings and Southern hospitality. And Theo enjoys the full-bodied flavour of a town steeped in history - and mystery ...
It's tea for two hundred or so at the annual historic homes garden party. And Theodosia, as event caterer, is busy serving steaming teas and blackberry scones while guests sing her praises. But the sweet smell of success turns to suspense whenan esteemed guest is found dead - his hand clutching an empty teacup. All eyes are on Theo ... who is now trying desperately to save her reputation and track down the real killer. If only she can make sense of it all - before someone else takes their last sip ..."

I found this book between my christmas parcels! Tea and mystery, this really sounds good. So I'll have a cup of tea and read this book! Thanks, coco!
Well, I don't think this series will become my favourite one. It took me some time to get into the story and I stopped several times and read an other book at the same time. For my taste the story was a little bit slow-going. But the details about the tea-shop were really interesting.
At home again.

Not my favourite one of the serie but still a good divertising and easy read. I love the passages on teas and food, it makes me dream and smell it...
The main character, Theodosia, is just like herself.
Thanks for sharing ! :-)))

Thank you for sending me a book off my wish list. I also love in this series all the food and tea passages as much as, and sometimes more than, the story and the characters. I look forward to reading this one.
A pleasant and cozy read. The best thing in the series is definitely the tea and food description. I am always reminded to savor and enjoy all the different tea I have.
Surprise! Surprise!

What a wonderful surprise to find this book in my mailbox today! My sister has raved about this series for years. I think part of the delight for her is Charleston, South Carolina is about 2 hours from our home and a favorite weekend get-away location. Last year, we went to visit Charleston's Tea Plantation together. I'm looking forward to starting this series.

I chose to read this book this month because it fit Plum-crazy's "what to read for June" theme of something borrowed, something blue, something old, something new. It is Laura Childs debut novel, so it fit something new. Nice little cozy mystery with likeable characters and particularly entertaining because it takes place in Charleston, SC and speaks of places that I am familiar with. Also, I didn't figure out the murderer before time. I will be looking forward to other books in this series.
