Book 7 of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. This one is crossing with her Mayfair Witches series and I can't say I loved it :) However, I found the storyline to be interesting and by far not as slow-paced as I found the Witch-books (well, the two I've read so far were at least ;-). But hey, if you like her vampires, this one is a must, of course!
