John Grisham has spun a fast read with this book. The setting in the D.C. area is very real. The lives of the "street people" are bound to touch even those whose hearts are hardened. Likable characters.

Release planned for Monday, April 21, 2003 at DeMarco Cinemas, 44 W. Landis Ave. in Vineland, New Jersey USA.

I plan to release this book into the wild tomorrow evening. I plan to view the Bowling for Columbine show and will either be leaving it in the theatre near where I chose to sit or else in the main lobby near the sofa.

I found this book at DeMarco Cinemas (conveniently, that's where I work). I've had it for over a week (it's been sitting in my car), but I've been reading something else and will finally be starting it tonight...

...I'm not the biggest fan of Grisham's but will give it a chance, anyway...

...either way, I will be returning it somewhere into the wilds when I'm done...
---
I'd started this the other night...it looked like an "okay" premise with the usual style of writing found in the mass-market bestsellers of the day. I guess I'll have no problem slogging through it. However, between work and home, I've waylaid the book. It's not on the front seat of my car, in my trunk or the usual spot I leave my unread books at work. I don't remember bringing it back into the house, but I have to find it. I'll resume reading it at that time.

In the meanwhile, I'm going to go back to my usual regimen of quickee reading of Star Trek novels for the next couple of weeks...until Harry Potter 5 is out anyway...!
---
Well, I found this one again shortly before finishing the Harry Potter book and I've been reading it on and off for weeks now...I just haven't had a lot of reading time this summer...
---
The book is good. It's an engaging story. However, I feel it was a little plodding throughout. It could probably have been told in at least half the pages if there weren't the many scenes of hand-wringing by the protagonist. Yes, we (the reader) get it...the homeless have a hard life. Now, can we get on with it?
---
I don't know where I'm going to be leaving this one, but I'd like to do it soon, since I've had this one for quite some time...

Released on Sunday, December 14, 2003 at DeMarco Cinemas, 44 W. Landis Ave. in Vineland, New Jersey USA.

It's been a while since I've released a book, merely 'cause I've been either reading books I've borrowed from Paul or I've slowed down on my reading (lots of hours of actually working at work and no time to read).

I keep forgetting to release this on the third Fridays, and though there is one coming up, I decided that it was also time to see a title listed in Vineland again as well!

I caught this book at DeMarco Cinemas, which I was already aware was a "bookcrossing site". As a rule, I like Grisham books, so I expect to enjoy this one.

Maybe I'll stop by the cinema and leave a new book to replace this one...

Released on Monday, February 02, 2004 at Cumberland County YMCA on Landis Avenue near Main in Vineland, New Jersey USA.

Planning to leave it on the bench near the pool while my daughter is at her swimming lesson.
